This scholarship is for graduating seniors at the following high schools in New York: Beacon High School in Beacon, John Jay High School in Cross River, Roy C. Ketcham High School in Wappingers Falls, Poughkeepsie High School in Poughkeepsie, and Newburgh Free Academy in Newburgh. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must demonstrate financial need and involvement in extracurricular activities, sports, and employment. This scholarship is not necessarily intended for those students with the highest grade point average, but rather for those who must apply themselves to prosper, or who demonstrate financial need. Applicants must submit three letters of recommendation, one each from a teacher, an employer, and a clergy member.
