This scholarship is for Hispanic students with a permanent address in the state of Texas or Oklahoma. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be enrolled as a high school senior in the fall of 2013 and plan to enroll full-time during the 2014-2015 academic year in a degree-seeking program at a four-year institution as a freshman or a two-year institution as a first-year student at an accredited US institution in the United States, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, or Guam. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, be 16 years of age or older as of September 1, 2013, and be US citizens or legal permanent residents with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired). Applicants also must file for federal financial aid by completing the FAFSA.
