Scholarship Overview

Established by The Findlay Publishing Company of Findlay, Ohio, in memory of Harold H. Heminger, President of the Findlay Publishing Company from 1965 to 1983. The Findlay Publishing Company is the parent company of White River Broadcasting located in Columbus. Criteria: Bartholomew County public, private, or home-schooled high school graduate who will be pursuing graduate studies at an accredited graduate or professional institution and demonstrates leadership, hard work, good citizenship, community service, dependability, and character. Applicant must be a graduate or graduating senior of any higher education facility with a minimum 3.3 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Applicant must be enrolled in or accepted for admission in an accredited graduate or professional institution, which normally maintains a regular faculty and curriculum and normally has a regular organized body of students in attendance in the place where its educational activities are carried on. The institution may include a college or university. Students who receive full scholarship support from other organizations/institutions will not be considered for this scholarship. Financial need will be considered.
