This scholarship is for students who are enrolled in an approved institution of higher education as full- or part-time students. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be Arkansas residents for at least 12 months prior to application and be US citizens or permanent resident aliens. Applicants must be enrolled in a program of study that leads to or is creditable towards a bachelor's degree, including bachelor's degree programs, associate's degree programs, qualified certificate programs, and nursing school diplomas; have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); and certify that they are drug-free and must pledge in writing on the application form to refrain from the use of illegal substances - this pledge includes alcohol for applicants less than twenty-one years of age. Eligibility is based on the applicants' family adjusted gross income as reported on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). For a family with one member in the household, the maximum adjusted gross income is $25,000. For each additional household member the maximum income increases by $5000, up to a maximum of $75,000.
