This scholarship program is for students of Hispanic/Latino heritage. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be residents of Texas, plan to enroll in an accredited two- or four-year college or university in the United States on a full-time basis, and be US citizens or permanent residents with permanent resident ID cards or current passport stamped I-551. Successful candidates are selected on the basis of academic achievement, financial need, community service, personal strengths, and leadership.
