This scholarship is for graduating seniors at R.J. Reynolds High School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have high academic standards, participate in school-sponsored activities, and demonstrate strong character, leadership skills, and school service and community involvement. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, but the scholarship is not restricted to students with lower incomes. Applicants must plan to enroll full-time in a bachelor's degree program at an accredited post-secondary institution. The student who is selected will be an individual who best exemplifies Jeannette Parker’s character and values. This individual will be thoroughly engaged in life, striving to make every day count, with the ability to balance academics, athletics, leadership, and service. The recipient will temper drive with compassion and head with heart.
