This scholarship is for individuals who wish to participate in a dance education program. Recipients may use scholarship funds to attend any two- or four-year college or university, or dance school in the United States. Funds may also be used to attend workshops, seminars, and special dance art events. All forms of dance are eligible: ballet, jazz, modern, tap, lyrical, hip hop, street dancing, belly-dancing, folk dancing, Irish dancing, etc. Applicants must be residents of the United States. To apply for this scholarship, applicants must submit an essay on "Why I love to Dance" and an outline of the proposed training and its value to their development as a dancer, along with the cost of the program. Scholarships are awarded based on merit and not financial need.
