This scholarship is for women who are attending or will be attending a post-secondary school. Preference will be given to women who are survivors of violence in the home, including formerly battered women, incest survivors, and children of battered women. Preference will also be given to residents of Cabarrus County, North Carolina. Applicants must show potential for academic success in their program. Scholarships may be used for tuition, books, fees, supplies, transportation, and/or child care.
