This scholarship is for women who are graduating seniors from public or private high schools located in Smith County, Texas. Home schooled graduating seniors are also eligible. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have participated in Girl Scouts (preference will be given to recipients of the Girl Scout Gold Award), have demonstrated outstanding citizenship, leadership ability, and participation in community service work. Recipients may attend any accredited two- or four-year college or university in the United States. Financial need may be considered but is not required. Dependents of scholarship committee members are not eligible to apply. Applicants should be available for a personal interview, if requested.
