This scholarship is for non-traditional students who are 25 years of age or older and current residents of Chemung County, New York (2+ years of residence). To qualify, applicants must have been accepted at a technical school, college, university, or nursing school for a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester. Applicants must meet income requirements and attend an educational institution within 55 miles of Elmira, which includes, but is not limited to, the following schools: Elmira College, Keuka College, Binghamton University, Elmira Business Institute, Corning Community College, Arnot Ogden Medical Center, and Elmira Business Institute. Preference will be given to students pursuing early childhood education and/or certification.
