Scholarship Overview

This scholarship is for minority college students seeking their initial teaching certification and/or endorsement. One scholarship will be for the student's final year, which includes student teaching. The second scholarship will be for a paraprofessional career-changer in their final year of teacher preparation. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be American Indian (Native American) or Alaskan Native, Asian or Pacific Islander, African American (Black), or Hispanic. Applicants must reside in or currently be matriculating at a college or university in Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, or Texas. Applicants also must be a high school graduate or equivalent status and have an overall 3.0 GPA or better.
