This scholarship is for students who are studying Italian. A $600 award will be given to a third-year university student declaring a major in Italian, and a $1,000 award will be given to a fourth-year university student continuing their studies in Italian. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be of the Roman Catholic Faith, of Italian descent, or - if not Italian - be children or grandchildren of current members of the Italian Catholic Federation. Applicants also must maintain a 3.2 GPA and live within the Catholic Dioceses of California, Nevada, Illinois, or Arizona, only where Branches of the Federation are established. Applicants will be evaluated on scholastic achievement, financial need, leadership, faculty recommendation/character reference, extracurricular activities and charitable efforts, and family membership/activities in the ICF if applicable.
