Scholarship Overview
This scholarship is for students who are interested in children's or young adult librarianship. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must attend an ALA accredited master's program; not have completed more than 12 semester hours towards an MLS, MLIS, or MIS prior to June 1 of the year awarded; and be US or Canadian citizens or permanent residents. Factors considered include academic excellence, leadership, and evidence of commitment to a career in leadership. Achievement in these areas may best be demonstrated by statements indicating the nature of library and other experience, by professional references, and by the personal statement included in the online application.
