This scholarship is for minority students who show excellence in scholarship and potential for accomplishment in health sciences librarianship. To qualify, applicants must be members of a minority group defined as Black or African-American, Hispanic or Latino, Asian, Aboriginal, North American Indian or Alaskan Native, or Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander. Applicants must be entering a master's program at an ALA-accredited graduate library school or at the time of granting the scholarship, have completed no more than one-half of the academic requirements of the graduate program. Citizenship or permanent resident status in the United States or Canada is required for this scholarship.
