This grant is for residents of Mississippi who are attending approved public and nonprofit two- and four-year colleges or universities. To qualify, applicants must have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 and have scored a minimum of 29 on the ACT or a minimum 1290 on the SAT or be National Merit or National Achievement Finalists or Semi-Finalists. Applicants must be accepted and enrolled full-time at an approved postsecondary institution in Mississippi and be pursuing a first certificate, first associate's degree, or first bachelor's degree. Returning college students must meet all the aforementioned eligibility requirements. Online applications will be available from January 1st through September 15th.
