This scholarship is for high school seniors in Tennessee. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be globally-minded and plan to enroll full-time in a four-year public college or university within the State of Tennessee's Board of Regents or University of Tennessee systems. They must also have a minimum 3.0 GPA, have lived in Tennessee for the past five years, and be US citizens or permanent residents. Applicants must have completed all college core and university track courses, demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly in written English, have a personal and/or career interest in multicultural and international affairs and/or an aptitude for foreign language study, and show involvement in community volunteer activities or leadership roles. Selection will be based on the merit of grades, demonstrated international awareness (as expressed in a written essay and notable high school course work, such as foreign language study), community involvement, extracurricular activities, work experience, test scores, and financial need.
