This scholarship is for graduating seniors at the following North Carolina high schools: Crossnore Academy in Crossnore, Jimmy C. Draughn High School in Valdese, East Burke High School in Connelly Springs, and Freedom High School, Robert L. Patton High School, and the North Carolina School for the Deaf in Morganton. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must enroll full-time in an accredited community college or four-year college/university in the United States. Preference will be given to applicants with an unweighted GPA between 2.0 and 3.3. Applicants will be evaluated on strong moral character, financial need, academic ability, commitment to complete a two- or four-year degree, community service, extracurricular activities, and work experience. Two scholarships will be awarded to students who intend to pursue a four-year degree and two to students who will pursue a two-year degree.
