This scholarship is for high school seniors in public, private, charter, alternative, or home school programs in Clark County, Nevada. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and have completed 20 hours of community service within the past 12 months (examples include volunteering through a church group, Boy or Girl Scouts, Key Club, etc). They must also be US citizens or legal permanent residents and plan to pursue a degree at an accredited post-secondary institution. Children or grandchildren of employees or officers of NV Energy may not apply for this scholarship. Two scholarships will be awarded to each high school in Clark County with graduating seniors. One scholarship will be awarded to a home-schooled graduating senior.
