This scholarship is for North Carolina residents who are enrolled in a North Carolina college or university. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be enrolled in an academic program leading to a degree in accounting or its equivalent, either currently, or during the first semester following the awarding of the scholarship. Applicants must also have completed at least one college- or university-level accounting course, have a 3.0 GPA, be sponsored by an accounting faculty member, and have completed at least 36 semester hours by the start of the spring semester of the year of application. Candidates must submit an essay on the most important skills for accountants. Please note that the deadline for application and the deadline for submitting transcripts are slightly different; see website for details.
