This scholarship is for graduating seniors of Arlington High School in Lagrangeville, New York. To qualify for this scholarship, the applicant's life must be materially affected by the serious illness of a parent. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to succeed in college; participation in sports, other extracurricular activities, or paid employment. To apply for this scholarship, applicants must submit an essay of no more than 500 words, discussing how the serious illness of their parent(s) has materially affected their life. Applicants will be judged on the substance and qualify of their essay and recommendations. Financial need and grades may be a consideration. The scholarship will be applied to tuition costs at an accredited college or university in the United States.
