This scholarship is for high school seniors who are residents of the following counties in North Carolina: Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Jackson, Macon, and Swain, as well as the Cherokee Indian Reservation. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must demonstrate academic achievement, financial need, and worthy and talented characteristics. Applicants must attend a four-year accredited public or private college or university in North Carolina. Semi-finalists will be interviewed by the Awards Advisory Committee. Scholarships will be awarded based on respective ability, educational goals, financial need, and career ambitions.
