This scholarship is for students in Maine who resided for a substantial part of their formative years (K-8) on an off-shore island of Maine in the area from Seguin to Easport. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have graduated from a nonsectarian high school and be attending an accredited, degree-granting college or vocational training school. Although there is a preference for residents of off-shore islands, eligible residents of bridged islands of Maine are also invited to apply. Selection will be based on financial need and applicants' ongoing, demonstrated commitment to community service.
