This scholarship is for college bound seniors who have experienced the death of a parent and have, despite emotional trauma, performed in an exemplary manner during their high school career. Scholarships will be awarded to students who demonstrate strong academic promise; positive extracurricular and/or work experience; contributions through community or school service; and financial need. Applicants must attend one of the following Illinois high schools: High School District 214, Niles Township High School District 219, Highland Park/Deerfield District 113, Lake Forest High School District 115, Dundee-Crown High School District 300, Evanston Township High School, Glenbrook South High School, Notre Dame High School, Libertyville High School, Vernon Hills High School, and St. Martin de Porres High School.
