These scholarships are for children of employees of Spencer Industries, Incorporated, located in Dale, Indiana. To qualify for these scholarships, applicants must be the natural, adopted, or step-children of employees who have completed one year of full-time service with Spencer Industries. Applicants must have a 2.5 GPA and rank in the top half of their graduating class at the time of graduation. There may be two types of awards available, one for students who plan to enroll full-time in an accredited four-year bachelor's degree program and one for students who plan to enroll full-time in a two-year program at an accredited junior college or state-supported technical college. Preference will be given to graduating high school seniors. If there is an insufficient number of applicants meeting the established criteria, the guidance counselor will notify Heritage Hills High School students that the scholarship is being made available to students whose parents are not employees of Spencer Industries.
