Scholarship Overview

This scholarship is for college juniors, seniors, and graduate students who are of Scottish heritage. To qualify, applicants must be able to cite their Scottish descent, have meritorious academic records, and be able to demonstrate financial need. Applicants must be enrolled in a US or Scottish institution for the third or fourth year of college/university or full-time graduate study. British applicants must have been born in Scotland, American citizens must maintain permanent residence in the Mid-Atlantic Region (defined as Washington, D.C., Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, or Virginia). For this scholarship, special consideration is given to those whose work contributes toward enhancing knowledge of Scottish history or culture.
