This program is for high school juniors who will graduate from high school in the Spring of 2016. To qualify, applicants must live within the nine-county San Francisco Bay area in California, demonstrate strong strength of character, have overcome obstacles that are not of their own making, be from a low-income family, be committed to earning a four-year college degree, maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher, be willing to share their personal story, and be highly recommended by a teacher, counselor, or mentor. All students who meet the eligibility criteria and who have a desire to go to college and earn a bachelor's degree are encouraged to apply. Selected scholars will receive mentoring support, financial assistance, and career guidance from Students Rising Above.
