This scholarship is for Louisiana residents who are enrolling full-time as first-time freshmen by the first semester following the first anniversary of high school graduation. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a minimum high school GPA of 2.5, have 17 tech core units for option 1 or 19 tech core units for option 2, have a minimum ACT score of 17 (or a 1250 SAT three-score equivalent), and be US citizens or permanent residents. Homeschooled students are eligible with an ACT/SAT score of 19. Louisiana residents graduating from an eligible out-of-state or -country high school are eligible with an ACT/SAT score of 20. This scholarship pays for tuition for skill or occupational training at any school within the Louisiana Community and technical College System, Louisiana approved Proprietary and Cosmetology Schools or Louisiana Public Colleges and Universities that do not offer a bachelor's degree. To apply for this scholarship, applicants must complete and file the FAFSA by the deadline date.
