This scholarship is for graduates of Summers County High School in West Virginia, who would have graduated from Talcott High School. To qualify for this scholarship, the applicant must live in the area served by Talcott High School at the time of its closing in 1980, which includes the following Summers County communities: Talcott, Lowell, Pence Springs, Clayton, Judson, Hilldale, Powells Creek, Forest Hill, Indian Mills, Marie, Ballengee, and Barger Springs. Applicants must have maintained at least a 3.0 GPA throughout the four years of high school.
