This scholarship is for Texas students who have competed at the UIL Academic State Meet any year of their high school career; or students who are a TSSEC Outstanding Soloist or a state finalist in the Barbara Jordan Historical Essay Competition or the Latino History Essay Competition. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have taken either the SAT or ACT; be graduating from high school during the current year; and be accepted for full-time enrollment at an accredited college or university in the state of Texas. Applications must be submitted online between March 3rd and May 31st.
