These scholarships are for permanent residents of Howard County, Maryland. To qualify for these scholarships, applicants must be young adult cancer survivors or have been diagnosed between the ages of 15 and 39; OR young adults who lost a parent/guardian to cancer; OR have a parent/guardian diagnosed or undergoing treatment for cancer; OR have a sibling diagnosed or undergoing treatment; OR have lost a sibling due to cancer. Applicants must have been at least 15 years old when parent or sibling was diagnosed. Applicants must be degree-seeking, demonstrate leadership abilities and commitment to their community, and exhibit financial need. They must also be US citizens.
