This scholars program is for college sophomores who are attending a four-year college. To qualify, applicants must be pursuing one of the following majors: accounting, finance, environmental science, civil engineering, electrical engineering, environmental engineering, human resources, mechanical engineering, communications, marketing, English, pre-law, sociology, or political science. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. The program includes a paid internship at a United Water for-profit facility and a $5,000 scholarship for the 2013-2014 academic year. Internships will be offered at various locations including but not limited to: Harrington Park, New Jersey; Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; Wilmington, Delaware; Jackson, Mississippi; Pontiac, Michigan; and Indianapolis, Indiana.
