Scholarship Overview
The scholarship was created to honor the memory of Christine Carlson, a woman who held an unwavering faith in God and realized that the only lasting pleasure in life came from "doing for others and expecting nothing in return." She held a strong belief in the fundamentals of the U.S. Constitution and in the Republican Party where individual freedom, responsibility, self-reliance, hard work, education and community service were paramount and government intervention and aid were at a minimum.
