Scholarship Overview

This scholarship is for Latino/Latina students who have graduated or will graduate this year from any Ventura County high school in California. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a minimum 2.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need, and be enrolled or plan to enroll full-time in an accredited four-year college or university or two-year community college in the state of California. To apply for this scholarship, applicants must submit an essay that addresses the inspiration for pursuing a college education and explains how they will give back to the community through promoting education, health and wellness, literacy, or other key Destino goals. Preference will be given to applicants who are enrolled or planning on enrolling at CSU Channel Islands, Moorpark College, Oxnard College, or Ventura College. Those who are the first generation in their family to attend college will also be given preference.
