Scholarship Overview
This program is for students pursuing a career in teaching and who pass the TAP by January 2016. Applicants must have graduated high school in 2015 or 2016 and be currently attending one of the 53 partner universities in Illinois, or an Illinois community college. If selected as a Golden Apple Pathway Scholar, recipients must participate in Golden Apple Summer Institutes, obtain Illinois teacher certification, and teach for five years in an Illinois school of need within seven years of graduation. Golden Apple Pathway Scholars will receive tuition assistance of $5,000 per year for junior and senior years and a $2,000 stipend for each Summer Institute experience. The priority deadline is December 1st, but the final deadline is February 15th. See website for additional details.
