Scholarship Overview

One-year scholarship grants will be made annually to qualified women graduates of Black Hawk County high schools who will be attending an accredited university, college junior college, or trade school within the State of Iowa; who have overcome an obstacle or hardship in their life; have demonstrated financial need and who demonstrate the abilities required to successfully complete the requirements of the institution chosen. Eligible applicants must have maintained at least a 3.0 GPA while in high school. Applicants may range from graduating high school seniors to high school graduates under the age of 35 who have not previously been enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution or program.
