Scholarship Overview

This program is for children and spouses of active duty or retired Sailors and Marines; MECEP or MECP students; and USMC/USN wounded and/or injured veterans and spouses from OEF, OIF, Operation New Dawn, or those injured in operational mishaps, major training exercises, or deployments AND who are pursuing a degree in the teaching profession or medical-related field. To qualify, applicants must be the child (under age 23) of an active duty, retired, or deceased Sailor or Marine or the spouse of an active duty or retired sailor or marine. Applicants must be enrolled or plan to enroll as full-time students during the entire academic year, pursuing a first undergraduate degree at a post-secondary, technical, or vocational institution that participates in the US Department of Education Title IV financial aid programs (an accredited institution). Applicants also must maintain a 3.0 GPA or better and demonstrate financial need.
