Scholarship Overview

This scholarship is for African American nursing students who live in Michigan. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a 2.5 GPA and be pursuing an associate's or undergraduate degree in nursing part- or full-time. Applicants must also be accepted in a School of Nursing and be or become active members of the Saginaw Black Nurses Association (SBNA). If the student is a non-licensed student, the membership fee will be waived. Selection will be based on career goals as demonstrated in an essay; academic performance; leadership ability; financial need; community service; overall involvement in work, school, and community activities; and letters of recommendation.
