Scholarship Overview

This scholarship is for minorities who are graduating seniors of Battle Creek, Michigan, area public high schools; also eligible are non-traditional college students who live within the Battle Creek area who have been living independently from their parents. While financial need will be considered, recipients will have portrayed the values of William E. Boards Jr., which include education; individuals needing a "chance" or "helping hand" to develop their full potential; and service, having demonstrated service to, or caring for others. Consideration will be given to individuals who have demonstrated they are making a positive change in the direction of their life. Graduating seniors must have at least a 2.5 GPA.
