Scholarship Overview

The women of Menasha High School class of 1961 would meet at a local restaurant for a fun social lunch once a month. These lunches were open to all women in the class of 1961 and occasionally others would join in the fun. In the fall of 2006 they decided they wanted to have a purpose for their group to meet, so they started to raise money for a scholarship to be awarded to a senior from their alma mater, Menasha High School. They would pass an envelope at each luncheon for contributions for the scholarship. They have also received contributions from friends, spouses and in memory or honor of a loved one. Their original goal was to give one $500 scholarship. They have managed to raise enough money to establish this endowed scholarship fund and their wishes for a scholarship will carry on forever. This scholarship is for high school seniors from Menasha High School, who plan on attending an accredited educational institute in the fall following high school graduation.
