The American Airlines Black Airlines Pilots is a networking group at American Airlines. The group came about out of a desire for African American Pilots at American Airlines to stay in touch, network, communicate information and more importantly exchange ideas about increasing pilot diversity at American Airlines. Members of other work groups at AA who share our interest are also part of AA BAP. As part of this effort to increase pilot diversity, an Educational Scholarship was created to assist aspiring young pilots with the cost of achieving their dream of becoming an Airline Pilot. This year will mark the inception of the scholarship and the selected candidate will receive $5,000 to apply towards their Aviation Career.
