Betty F. Brown Awards for Instrumental Excellence
Heritage Fund - The Community Foundation of Bartholomew County
These awards are for student instrumentalists who are high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors residing in Bartholomew County, Indiana. Two competitions will be held; one for seniors and one for underclassmen. Senior contestants must plan to major in the field of music in college or continue their music education by studying with qualified instructors or taking music classes at college. Sophomore and junior contestants may use the award for instrumental lessons or accredited music camps/activities. The competition will include the music instrument areas of brass, percussion, piano/organ, strings, and woodwinds. Each contestant must be recommended by their high school choral director, private instructor, or director from a community music organization. Sign Up to Start Applying $1,000 - $3,500
