Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals
The OBAP Duane Moorer Scholarship was established to provide graduating high school seniors or those enrolled in an aerospace program with the financial support needed to continue education towards careers in aviation. Founded in 1976, the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the encouragement and advancement of minorities in all aviation and aerospace careers. OBAP members encourage diversity in the industry by supporting aspiring aviation professionals through mentoring, scholarships, training and youth-focused education programs through Project Aerospace. *Students must have participated in OBAP Flight Academy within the past 3 years.
