Edgar S. Welborn Ledford High School Scholarship

This scholarship is for seniors from Ledford High School in Davidson County, North Carolina. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must demonstrate academic achievement, financial need, and extensive participation in both school and outside interest. Applicants must attend a college or university in North Carolina leading to a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree. Applicants must write an essay on their reaction to the biographical sketches of Mr. and Mrs. Welborn. Scholarships will be awarded based on respective ability, educational goals, financial need, and career ambitions. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
