This scholarship is for residents of Oregon State and Siskiyou County, California, who are 25 years of age or older and have not earned a bachelor's degree. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Applicants must be pursuing a certificate, two-year associate's degree, or bachelor's degree and enroll full-time in the fall term of the application year at a public or private, accredited, Title IV eligible, non-profit college in their home state. Preference will be given to applicants who are less than halfway through the completion of their program. Applicants must also demonstrate the following: financial need; a history of working responsibly on the job or in the home to help raise a family; a commitment to education of a way of improving one's life and the lives of one's family and community;evidence of taking initiative and/or leadership in making a positive change in the lives of others; an ability to communicate clearly about strengths and goals; and ability to present ideas clearly and concisely; and the characteristics; and potential to succeed in college as supported by a ReStart Reference.
