This scholarship is for undergraduate and graduate students in Hawaii who are pursuing a major in the field of communications. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need. Applicants must enroll in a degree-seeking program at a two- or four-year college institution. To apply for this scholarship, applicants must submit an essay describing their plan to maximize the potential of young people through communication as well as demonstrate the possession of leadership potential in the community. Applicants must include two letters of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, employer or community organization demonstrating the students moral & ethical traits are in alignment with Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishops including self-discipline, scholarship and extracurricular involvement.
