Undergraduate Study: Scholarships made possible by the Jarrell Scholarship Fund may be awarded to students enrolled in post-secondary education who are graduates of Summers County public schools or who are residents of Summers County, and who have maintained at least a 3.0 GPA for the four years of high school and have an ACT score of at least 20 or an equivalent SAT score. Scholarships made possible by this fund are specifically for the academic year for which the applicant first applies, with a tentative commitment to continue such funding for a total of four years of undergraduate work, contingent upon availability of scholarship funds, biannual letters of progress, submission of semester grade reports to trustees of the Fund, and maintenance of a 3.0 GPA.
