Katherine "Kem" McHugh Scholarship

This scholarship is for graduating seniors of all USD #501 high schools in Topeka, Kansas. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have excelled in music or science; be attending a university; and have a minimum 3.5 GPA. Applicants must provide at least one of the following: (a) a letter from the Director of the Topeka Youth Symphony verifying the student's participation in the Topeka Youth Symphony; (b) a letter from a high school music teacher verifying the students I or II rating at a state music contest in a solo instrumental or vocal performance; or (c) a high school transcript reflecting A's or B's in advanced placement science classes with a preference toward biology, physics, or chemistry.
