Kazuma and Ichiko Hisanaga both served most of their lives as educators in the Hilo community. Mr. Hisanaga was a well-known coach, athletic director, and football, baseball and basketball star for Hilo High School. Their strong belief in the value of sports participation, leadership, and education is reflected in the type of student this scholarship will support. Requirements:
- Resident of the State of Hawai’i
- Demonstrate financial need
- Attend an accredited, four year, not-for-profit institution within the continental U.S. that is a NAIA, Division II, or Division III school
- Attend as a full time student (as determined by your school’s financial aid office)
