Kenneth and Concetta Schoen Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance for students with potential from the four public high schools in Duluth (Denfeld, East, HCIS and ALC). The scholarship is specifically designed for students who are 'late bloomers' with financial need. With the term 'late bloomer' we are describing students who are a little 'late' in getting on the path toward a college education and in particular, those who have significantly 'turned things around' - showing great improvement between their 9th and 12th grade years.
The award may be used for post-secondary education, including junior colleges and four-year colleges and universities.
