American Congress on Surveying and Mapping (ACSM)

To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be enrolled in a four-year surveying (or closely related) degree program, either full- or part-time. Applicants must be college juniors or seniors at a US college/university. In addition to a course in basic surveying, an applicant's program of study must include courses from at least two of the following areas: land surveying; geometric geodesy; photogrammetry/remote sensing; or analysis and design of spatial measurement systems. Additional coursework that is desirable but not required includes theory and applications of geographic information systems, cartography, digital image processing, spatial modeling and analysis, and spatial statistics.
